Kate’s gone…What happens now?
Well, Council is working on that and we have some help. Rev. Tom Dunbar is our Pastoral Charge Supervisor to make sure council gets things done right. We may not see Tom at our regular worship services because he has his own flock to watch out for. There are three phases that we will go through over the next few months and these will overlap in time.

- Pulpit Supply: Your Worship Committee has already been lining up a roster to cover every Sunday from now to the end of December. Look for names in the bulletin. These leaders will be a mix of ordained ministers and lay worship leaders. This is a great opportunity to see a variety of styles and some challenging messages. Please come out as often as you can.
- Part Time Supply Ministry: We will soon be searching for a more consistent pulpit supply that can provide some ministerial services in addition to Sunday worship and sacraments. This will include council support and some pastoral care. However, this will only be part-time, so we can’t expect the same level of service that we had from Kate. Is there any way that you can share the load for a couple of months? This stage may last from January until our new-found minister starts their work.
- Search Committee: A search committee is being formed to help us locate some good ministerial candidates and for the right candidate to find us. The committee will need help from all of us. There will be some workshops and maybe some talking circles to make sure we best describe the values and characteristics of Lakeshore United. Please participate when these are scheduled, even if you have just started with the Lakeshore community.
