Our Transition to New Ministry

Part-time Minister:
The Transition Team of Andy Ross, Mary Bryant, and Wanda Keith are thrilled to announce that Rev. Harry Disher has been hired as our Part Time Supply Minister.
Starting in March, he will begin a six-month position with us from March 1 to August 31, 2023, and will be working 30 hours per week including preaching on Sundays.

The Transition Team is thankful for the support of Council and the patience of the Congregation, as we worked to fulfill our mandate.  With the appointment of Rev. Disher, our Search Team will have the time to do the necessary work in finding a permanent minister.

Search Team: A search team has being formed to help us locate some good ministerial candidates and for the right candidate to find us.  The committee will need help from all of us.  There will be some workshops and maybe some talking circles to make sure we best describe the values and characteristics of Lakeshore United.  Please participate when these are scheduled, even if you have just started with the Lakeshore community.

When will we have a new minister?  We really don’t know.  We will stay with part time ministry as long as is necessary to find the right person.  We are thinking in the range of at least 6 months.
