L.U.C.K. Club

L.U.C.K. is Lakeshore United Church Kids. We meet during church on Sunday mornings. We join our families upstairs at 10:30 and then after the Theme Conversation we meet downstairs.... but not before we collect change in our baskets from the congregation!! This goes to support our orphan in Dominican Republic, Camp Menesetung and Sleeping Children Around the World.

From September until June we learn from the Whole People of God curriculum and hear stories from the Old and New Testament, create meaningful crafts, have snacks and play games.  All of our teachers are screened and trained.

We are always ready to welcome some new volunteers to assist with the LUCK Club.   God has blessed our church family with energetic children who love to be creative and learn.  Most Sundays we have enough children for a younger class and an older class.  If you feel you have gifts to share with the children, we will help you get connected and trained in a way that you will feel confident.  Not eager to teach?  No worries, we also need volunteers to help the teachers.  If you are interested in being involved, please email Kate, at kate@lakeshoreuc.org

A special place to belong...

New families are always welcome at LUCK Club.

Community is just as important to children as it is to adults.  LUCK Club is a place for children to connect with one another and caring adults.

We also believe children, and the adults for that matter, benefit when they are present for the whole of worship, which we do about once a month with multigenerational services.
Where sometimes:
  • we have children participating in the service, and sometimes they sing they read in church, or take part in a little drama.
  • they listen, sing, pray with the rest of the congregation.  We aren't worried if there is some noise from children in our midst, please don't let this be a reason not to bring your children to church!
All of our teachers have Police Record Checks and we practice duty of care for the safety of the children in our programs.
